Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Liz has had the good fortune to be exposed to a wide variety of cultures and ideas. She has an abiding respect and admiration for how rich and varied our life experiences can be.
Liz chose social work as a base for her counseling studies because she believes that it is important to consider the context of our lives (environment - friends, family, passions, pursuits, etc.) - not just how we think.
Liz has been working with individuals and families in a variety of social service setting for over twenty years. She has taught in high schools, wo community college, crisis lines, and is currently working as an integrated behavioral health specialist at a local community health clinic.
Liz enjoys working with families, young people, women in transition, and people who are eager to make changes, and haven't been able to get from "Point A" to "Point B" yet.
Liz is here to listen, reflect, and provide options. She believes that you already have within you the key to your own solutions. She sees her job as helping you to find it!
Remember that whether you seek counseling, coaching, or guidance, it's an important choice. It will be important for you to choose someone who will give you the support you are looking for, and who will help you to feel comfortable with the process. Ask questions! After all, it's only your time and money, and your life!! If you're seeking help for a loved one, let them be a part of the selection process!
